Xue Yan, Doctor’s degree, works as a professor in School of Software&Microelectronics of Peking University in China. Her research focuses on project management and evaluation, portfolio management, enterprise project management, project evaluation technology and so on.
Currently, she is member of the IPMA Advisory Commitee and Vice President of China Project Management Research Committee. She was once Vice President of International Project Management Association (IPMA).
She also serves as a member of editorial board for several journals including International Journal of Project Management and Taiwan Journal of Project Management.
She has participated in many international projects such as research projects of IPMA, fund project of PMI, the World Bank fund grants program, Asian Development Bank technical assistance program. She once worked for Asian Development Bank and World Bank as a contracted specialist in the area of result-based monitoring and evaluation, and she is member of Asia Pacific CoP-MfDR to promote managing for development results. As the key person in charge, she completed more than 10 research projects sponsored by World Bank, Asia Development Bank and Chinese governments, and publishes books and papers. She has won awards such as IPMA Outstanding Research Contribution (2010) and Chinese Project Management Achievement Award issued by China Project Management Research Committee.
